I’m Chamilla Terp, an astrophysics PhD student at DTU Space. I study the formation and evolution of galaxies in the early Universe, to try and understand how the first galaxies formed and how they shaped the evolution of the cosmos.

Beyond my research, I’m passionate about science communication and public outreach. Over the years, I’ve given numerous talks and lectures and appeared on Danish television programs such as Go’ Morgen Danmark and TV2 News, where I talk about my research, being a woman in a still heavily underrepresented field, and just about anything related to space!

When I’m not exploring the cosmos or speaking about it, you’ll usually find me watching sports (especially football and Formula 1), travelling, spending time with friends and family, or simply enjoying a good cup of coffee.

Want to see what I’m up to? You can follow my journey through research, outreach, and everyday life on my social media channels.
